Dog Is Rescued After 10 yrs in a cage. Watch When She Sees A Bed For The 1st Time!

When she sees the bed! (Video)

She’d lived in a wire cage her entire life up until this point. A 12-year-old dog with skin allergies was rescued from a puppy mill where she’d spent her entire life in a wire cage. As long as she could produce puppies, that’s all they cared about. Thankfully, she’s now able to leave that life behind and get the care she desperately needs. She was taken to a clinic to be seen by Dr. Jeff of Rocky Mountain Vet. They started off by giving her a bath, and as they cleaned her, sores were revealed all over her body. They had to be careful when drying her, so they placed her in a cage in front of a blow dryer rather than using towels.

It was time for Dr. Jeff to look her over and determine the severity of her wounds. Lily’s belly and feet were pretty torn up, but the cuts didn’t look like bite marks. They concluded this was from the 10 years or so she’d spent in a wire cage. It’s a shame that this was the life she’d always known, but 12 years later it’s over. A treatment was set up and the team was able to move on to the last step of the rescue: take it elsewhere and ensure a pleasant life. So Lily was taken to a spot and they showed her, her very first bed.

A touching moment!

It’s a heart wrenching moment to realize she’d never seen anything like it in her life. You will see how much Lily seems lost in this big space.  She’s hesitant and doesn’t know what to do with it at first, but she finally lies down. We know she will receive excellent care at Rocky Mountain Vet with Dr. Jeff as they continue to prepare her for her new life. I feel sorry for dogs and cats and every other animals are going through because of us humans causing it. I’m so glad she was rescued for that torture. Let’s all pray for the ones that are still enduring it. Watch the video, this moment moved to tears one of the rescuers present who lived this story of this little dog.

Dr. Jeff treats Lily, a 12-year-old puppy mill rescue with skin allergies. There are good people in this world. Great that these dogs have been rescued from puppy mills.
