Dog’s reaction will melt your heart!(Video)

Almost every day we read a story or watch a video that makes us tear up and sigh how we “don’t deserve dogs”. Especially when it comes to service dogs that train and work hard to make our lives easier. As does mutt named Oakley who helps out his owner every day. He has been trained by his owner to look out for her oncoming panic attacks by detecting changes in her behaviour. Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Amber Oliver, from Massachusetts, taught her dog five-year-old to pick up on changes to her body temperature, breathing and heart rate and alert her that she may be about to suffer a panic attack. 

Last month, she shared a video of herself and her dog waiting at Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky International Airport. Just seconds in, Oakley jumps up and goes to his owner, nuzzling at her hands and face. The footage filmed shows the task-trained service dog comforting his owner by rubbing against her legs and getting her attention. He did it because she was suffering from a panic attack and he sensed it and immediately started to de-escalate it.

A beautiful gesture!

Oakley went to her rescue, offering kisses of encouragement, and reciprocating cuddles of love, healing whatever emotional burden was ailing his human. “Luckily, because of Oakley, I did not have a full on panic attack and after a few minutes, I am able to come out of it and take the time needed to recover,” said Oliver. “Sharing this video and these things make me vulnerable, but I’m sharing them with you so you can see how this dog has changed my life,” added Oliver. In just a few short weeks after being posted online, the video went viral among animal lovers. Watch the video,  he demonstrates the unconditional love and loyalty he has for his owner!

Amber said: ” Oakley helps me every single day. Oakley is always watching and paying attention to me making sure to help me whenever needed.”

Watching his trained behavior turn into a natural reaction in the video was just beautiful.
