Dog and owner were overwhelmed with emotion (Video)

The Humane Society of Chittenden County was happy witness two old friends reuniting after two long years apart. “Rottweiler Bella came to the Humane Society of Chittenden County because her owners could not afford an expensive surgery to repair her torn CCL. A local veterinarian generously offered to do her surgery for free – and we made her available for adoption so she could recover from surgery in a home.” They didn’t know it at the time, but that action would soon come to the attention of a woman who recognized Bella. The woman named Jenn immediately called the animal shelter.

The humane society explained: “Last weekend, we got a call from a woman who said she thought Bella was her dog, whom she had lost in the process of a messy divorce two years ago and had been missing ever since. Today, Jenn came by to see if Bella was actually her dog …” Needless to say both dog and owner were overwhelmed with emotion when they saw each other! Jenn wipes away tears and Bella can’t keep still circling and snuggling with Jenn and the moment was captured on video. Bella just can’t believe her eyes and keeps staring up at Jenn adoringly, wanting cuddles and pets.

Heartwarming reunion

“The anticipation of one moment; that’s a lot of build-up. I never thought that would be possible. I have my dog back. I’m so grateful,“ said Jenn. As Bella wriggles and licks her face, it’s clear that she completely adores her and is beside herself with glee that she has returned home to her. She couldn’t seem to control her excitement.
