Priceless moment (Video)

The loving moment was captured by the camera aboard a whale-watching boat, in Patagonia, Argentina. Incredible footage shows the adorable interaction between the whale and six-month-old little girl Azul. Her daddy, Alberto Alcántara, works for this Yellow Submarine whale watching company. The father says that he took advantage of that staff day to take his daughter Azul on this trip as part of a day’s work and at the same time so that her little girl would live this experience near these aquatic animals.

In the clip, little Azul can be heard giggling and cooing with surprise as the huge whale plunges in and out the water right in front of her. According to Juliette Decré, owner of Yellow Submarine. It is not unusual to see whales attracted to babies on the ship. “The whales we found have a special connection with the babies, we also have a submarine for whale watching and every time we have babies on board, the whales get closer to the submarine’s windows,” he said. And this is shown by the images because the whale seeing the baby moves up and then submerges again as if playing hide from her.

“It was one of the last whales in the gulf that day, it’s where they have their babies every year, and this is the end of whale watch season. It was kind of good luck perhaps from the whale to us to say goodbye for the season to this baby. We think that they have a special bond, perhaps to the sounds the baby makes and certain frequencies. So, when we have a baby crying on board, I always say let it cry because the whales will come. From a scientific point of view – although I am not scientist – we cannot say why the whales are attracted to the noise of the baby, but it is a wonderful thing.“ said Juliette.
