Sick Shelter Pit Bull Captures 2-Year-Old Girl’s Heart – Touching Moment

An unforgettable reunion (Video)

The pitbull have unjustly earned a reputation for being aggressive and dangerous. One shining example of how taking a chance on a Pit Bull can change the lives of not only the dog itself, but the family who adopt it, is that of a lucky Pitty who would come to be named Scarlett. This is a beautiful video in which all the attention was stolen by a 2-year-old girl and an pit bull from a shelter. The young girl, referred to as “G”, with a big heart spotted Scarlett at the shelter and immediately took a shining. Unlike some of the other more healthy dogs, Scarlett had a snotty nose, and smelt badly of mange. This was not enough to deter a compassionate 2-year-old though, as she turned to her mother and said “Let the doggy out. Need help”.

She immediately fell in love. Oftentimes dogs who have been in shelters for a while can be tentative around new people, but something about G’s caring nature encouraged Scarlett to trust her. G was patient even when the dog was shy and nervous about walking around. She gave the dog hugs, kisses and belly rubs, playing together as if they’d been pals their whole lives. The pair went out to the yard to play and Scarlett didn’t leave G’s side, following her every where. G even wiped the snot from the dogs nose and the goop from her eyes with her dress. This young girl showed so much love and affection for her new friend that soon they would become inseparable.

The impact and power of adoption

Where many kids might look at a dog with snot, eye goop and mangy skin and resist touching it, G wanted only to help and heal Scarlett. It seems as if Scarlett decided straight away that G was to be her new best friend, and was not going to leave without her. When Scarlett went back into her kennel, it became clear that G would not allow her new best friend to be left behind. The video has so far garnered nearly 5 million views.
