Watch this priceless moment (Video)

Animal friendships are as diverse and unique as animals themselves. A friendship between species is not that uncommon although you don’t see it happen all the time. But the trick is to start them out young because there is an innocence about this vulnerable state that transcends barriers and allow special friendships to develop. While we often don’t think of our pets as being particularly emotional or capable of a wide display of affection but that is simply not true. Our pets definitely have a much wider emotional capacity than we give them credit for. Maybe its ego but a lot of us forget that our pets are more than capable of forming lasting relationships with other beings outside of us humans.

Our pets can easily become close friends with other animals the same way that they deeply bond with us. An adorable video shared by Green Valley Aussies of their new foal sharing a nap with one of their Australian Shepherd puppies will warm your hearts. We see a puppy cuddling with a colt who is contentedly lying down on the grass. The puppy continues to squirm and is probably having a good time because as the camera zooms closer, we can hear her uttering those cute puppy sounds that signal happiness and comfort. Of course, that little noise wasn’t enough to disturb the baby horse as it continued to snooze away unmindful of what was happening around it.

The cutest friendship

Both dogs and horses are very sensitive animals who love to be part of a group. Therefore it makes perfect sense that they would naturally gravitate towards one another and strike up a friendship. These two little babies definitely show that they’re more than happy to enjoy each other’s company while also catching up on some sleep. This special pairing can only happen in an environment that fosters an ethical treatment of animals because animals cannot be complacent when they are constantly stressed about their surroundings. Watch the video, it’s easy to imagine that this puppy and foal will want to play together, even once they are fully mature.
