Heartwarming Moment: Overjoyed Woman Sees Her Paralyzed Dog Walk After Surgery

This moment will melt your heart (Video)

Janie is asked by the doctors to come to the animal hospital. The reason is because of her dog, Sammi. The 8-year-old dog is in the hospital because he had a serious operation on his back three months ago to remove a bone growing near his spinal column. Unfortunately, Sammi’s surgeon was unable to remove the excess bone.

Following surgery, the pup’s health declined. His family was devastated. Since then, he can not walk and is paralyzed. Janie and her family were devastated that Sammi could not run and play anymore, but they were happy to still have Sammi alive. As a result of the back operation and his paralysis, the doctors recommended that Sammi be sent to a dog rehabilitation centre.

Miracles can happen

Unfortunately, Sammi was making little progress and doctors were sure he would never walk again. Sammi underwent daily rehabilitation treatment. While other seasoned vets said he’d be paralyzed for life, the determined team at CARE refused to give up. Three months later, a breakthrough happened! It was a slow process but eventually Sammi reached a milestone when he managed to sit up by himself after three long months of therapy. From there he developed enough muscle in his legs to stand while aided, and kept working hard until he could do it by himself. ‘Unbelievable,’ one member of staff can be heard saying on the video: ‘That dog is a miracle’. Watch the video, it will leave you in tears of joy!
