Caught on camera abandoning their dog(Video)

Charleroi police have launched an investigation after a sad video was posted on social media. Posted on the local shelter account, the heartbreaking footage shows two men appearing behind the gate on Saturday around 6 p.m., while the premises were closed. Obviously, the two individuals insisted on abandoning their dog.

A surveillance camera surprised the duo trying to move the dog between the bars of the grid. They do not succeed, but end up spotting a small passage on the side of the entrance and pass the dog, a griffon cross. The animal seems to not understand what is happening to him and prowls around the entrance of the kennel, not really knowing where to go. The two men  remained a few seconds behind the gate, and one of them told the dog to go away and then they left the scene.

A local resident alerted the police

A local resident witnessed the scene and alerted the police. The dog was finally picked up by SPA staff on Monday. “It is absurd to do this, especially since we were open thirty minutes earlier,” said Van Namen, assistant director of the kennel. The animal is in good health, and the authorities are now looking for its former owners. Watch the video, what can motivate someone to cause so much sadness and suffering?
