Hilarious Cockatoo Loves Dancing To Queen – He Learned 14 Dance Moves Himself
This cockatoo is a massive fan of the band Queen (Video)
If you’ve never seen a bird dancing before, consider this to be your lucky day. The video has been viewed more than seven million times, and it’s probably generated at least that many grins. But when a small group of scientists first saw it, they knew that it was more than entertaining. The team has published their findings in the journal Current Biology, showing that Snowball can not only groove to music without explicit training, but he’s got his own dance moves.
In addition to being a dance enthusiast, Snowball the cockatoo is a massive fan of the band Queen. Or, at the very least, he can’t get enough of their song “Another One Bites the Dust” — which, let’s be honest, is pretty relatable! “This suggests that sensitivity to music or capacity for music or musicality is shared among more animals than only humans and might have a long evolutionary history,” said Henkjan Honing, a professor of music cognition at the University of Amsterdam.
One of his performances was caught on camera
Because he loves the song so much, one of his performances was caught on camera and has since gone viral! Besides being incredibly adorable, people have noted that he’s actually not bad at keeping up with the beat as he shakes his head and taps his foot. Best of all, this talented little guy seems to be having a lot of fun, especially at the end when his human is cheering him on for his unforgettable moves. Watch the video, Snowball the cockatoo dancing to Queen’s “Another One Bites the Dust” has long been one of the joys of the internet!
