A tense rescue!

Delivery men are pretty much always in a rush to get wherever their package needs to go. However, when one Brazilian motorcycle courier saw a group of people in a panic on the side of the street, he decided to pull over and see if there was anything he could do. He was just passing by a building by accident but when he realized what was happening, he did not think twice. The delivery man, Eliseu, found out that a kitten had somehow wandered off onto a window ledge three stories up and was now trapped.

The group had found a ladder to climb up the side of the building to reach the kitten. “When I saw what was happening I thought of assisting in some way,” Eliseu said. “The actions of everyone who was there for the cat motivated me.” Without hesitating, this courageous man climbed up the ladder placed against the building to try to save the cat stuck on the window ledge. But the ladder, unfortunately, was just long enough to allow the man to reach the cat with his hand! The only way to reach the cat was to climb up onto the very last rung!

One breath-taking moment!

Consequently, the man discovered that coming back down the ladder with the cat was very difficult and dangerous — including one breath-taking moment when he almost lost his balance! Eliseu struggled on the way back down. “I was a little embarrassed, but very happy to have helped the cat,” Eliseu said. “I thought I would just continue on my normal day.” However, when a neighbor posted the video of the tense rescue on Facebook, it quickly went viral and the 4.2 million people who have watched the footage are calling him a HERO!

“I want to congratulate this blessed angel who stopped in the middle of his work to save our beloved Marcellin, and to say that there are still people doing good in this world,” the cat’s owner, Flavia Azevedo Prates wrote in a post. “This guy saw a commotion, stopped his motorcycle, and risked his life to save a kitten. He did not even know whose he was. And afterward, he leaves like nothing happened. He could only have been an angel sent by God.”

However, in the end, he managed to come back down safely, and we see him leave the same way he came …
