Walking with your dog is a normal part of many pet owners’ routines. It’s great exercise for both you and your pet and is some excellent bonding time. Here is a tale about a dog owner whose dog led him to a shocking discovery in a field while they were going about their daily walk. He normally popped in his headphones to listen to his favorite podcast while walking the dog, but on this particular day, something told him to keep his ears and eyes open.
While walking his dog in Bali, Indonesia, Christian Eiermann ended up finding a lot more than he expected. Going along their usual route, which includes traveling across a waterlogged field, Christian was surprised when he noticed his dog trying to get his attention. Suddenly, Christian’s dog started acting strangely, desperately trying to pull him over to one particular area of the boggy marsh. The pair heard the sound of faint cries and whimpers. Christian’s dog kept pulling and pulling, so he let the dog lead him farther into the flooded field. Christian kept following his eager dog until they made the shocking discovery: a basket containing four abandoned newborn puppies.
A heroic rescue mission
These poor little pups were soaking wet and covered in dirt. And though it remains unclear as to how or why they were abandoned there, Christian breathed a sigh of relief knowing his heroic dog had found them before it was too late. Christian quickly set up the puppies in a temporary foster home. Fortunately, he knew of a foster home with a female dog that had recently given birth, so she was still producing milk. He was able to wean the pups off of milk in this way. Watch the video about this shocking discovery by Christian and his dog.
These lucky pups are now on their way to find their loving forever homes.
