Watch when he sees the rescuers! (Video)

Seeing animals suffering or in trouble has always broken my heart. They’re so helpless and innocent and depend on us for so much. Some time ago Animal Aid Unlimited in India received a report about a dog that had fallen into a deep well. Exactly how long the dog had been there is unclear, but based on her condition, it was clear it had been a while. She swam around in circles for hours, desperately waiting for someone to help her. Finally, she became so tired and weak that she couldn’t swim anymore.

The rescue immediately rushed out to find her, and when they got there, it seemed that the poor dog had given up hope. The pup was quickly losing her strength and could barely hold on to the sides of the well wall. She looked so defeated, leaning against the wall of the well… until she heard the commotion up above, and lifted her head. As soon as she saw that help had arrived, the exhausted dog summoned up all the strength she had left and began swimming in circles, so excited to see her rescuers.

She couldn’t swim anymore!

She wouldn’t have lasted much longer when rescuers repelled down the well to save her life. Her paws were bloody from trying to hold on to the sides of the well. They quickly took the sweet dog to get checked out, making sure she wasn’t injured and then gave her plenty of space to rest and lots of love and cuddles, which she accepted eagerly. Without the kind rescuers, the poor dog likely would have drowned. She seems to have realized that, and is clearly so grateful to them for saving her life. Watch the video to see how happy she got when she realized that she would finally be saved.
