Family run from cheetahs! (Video)

Identified as French family, they managed to escape a coalition of cheetahs unscathed after they exited their vehicle to snap pictures of the wild animals — and the heart-stopping moment was caught on tape. Beekse Bergen is a drive-through African wildlife safari park, in the south of the Netherlands, where visitors are under strict instruction not to leave their cars. However, the family of five appears to have missed this instruction and is seen getting out in the middle of the park where some cheetahs are sunning themselves – twice.

The tourists filming in the car behind them cannot believe their eyes when the group climb out of a French-registered car to take snaps of the predators. They then drive a little further down the road and seconds later, they get out again, stepping onto a small hill a few dozen feet away from where the cheetahs are resting. But this time, the cats are ready to pounce. Unsurprisingly, the cheetahs – the world’s fastest land animal – gets up and starts to run towards the group, seemingly made up of three adults and two children. A group of tourists in the car behind them, who captured the terrifying encounter on video, gasp and yell as they watched the cats surround the family.

They all run for their lives!

The tourists spot the cheetahs at the last minute and make a panicked dash for the car. As the cheetahs start to circle, the man runs and the woman is seen picking up the child, stopping to stare at one of the wild cats before quickly walking away. One of the cheetahs follows closely behind, lunging at the family as they scramble to get back inside their car. They all run for their lives and all manage to get back into their vehicle and drive off, to the amazement of the Dutch person behind the camera. Watch the video, visitors filming the cheetahs as they rampaged towards the family are heard uttering “jesus” and “oh my god” in disbelief as the family face being surrounded!
