Having Bears Raiding His Trash Can, He Has Got A FUNNY Idea To Get Rid Of Them!
He has got a funny idea! (Video)
We all know the stereotype about bears and picnic baskets, but the same can be said about garbage cans. Bears are known to be opportunistic feeders and will eat whatever food they can sniff out while expending the least amount of energy for the highest caloric intake. Bears will often wander into human territory when they smell garbage. They are known how to make a mess of people’s yards and driveways after rummaging through their garbage cans. They even make bear-proof garbage cans since the problem is so prevalent.
Sometimes you need to take creative measures in order to get rid of a bear problem. And one man from Salem, Virginia did just that. He has been having bears raiding his trash can for weeks. Dragging the trash all over his property and forcing him to clean it up daily. Strapping the cans shut didn’t help much. So he has got the perfect idea when he spotted a creepy looking doll at the local pharmacy. It’s not ‘rocket-surgery,’ not that complex… just strap the clown to the garbage can and see what happens. It was a creepy clown that waves its arms around and makes crazy sounds when it’s activated by motion. So, he decided that he would strap the doll on to his trash bin to see if it would scare the bear away when it was activated by the bear’s movements.
He got the perfect idea!
The bear sniffed around the front doorstep of the home before finally making straight for the plastic bin. He approaches the trash can and looks suspicious of the clown but continues to try and remove the lid. After sniffing around the sides he got up on his hind legs and pulled the waste bin towards him. The idea was to tip the entire trash can over so that he could get inside and devour its contents. But he goes running as soon as the clown started moving. The clown’s menacing cackle spooked the bear, prompting it to run off! Check out the hilarious moment in the video, the trash can and its contents were left intact, meaning no clean up duties the following day!
