Dog rescues his friend (Video)

The heartwarming scene, which was filmed in Qingyuan city in Guangdong province, China, shows a rottweiler standing anxiously on the banks of the river as a smaller dog, a cute black-and-white pup begins yelping as it floats away in a small, blue boat — but that’s when his four-legged friend jumped into action.

The Rottweiler on nearby rocks immediately dove into the water from his dry perch. Adding new meaning to the term “rescue dog,” the large, black Rott chomped on to a rope tied attached to the boat — and doggie-paddled his anxious canine cargo back to shore. Once within a few feet of land, the pup tumbles from the bow into the water — but quickly splashes its way onto land.

A male voice can be heard talking calmly in the background of the video — begging the question, “Why didn’t he lend these two a human hand?” Perhaps because that would’ve squandered his doggone viral-video opportunity. Watch the video, this isn’t the first instance of dog heroism — This one just has a happier ending.
