She sings him lullabies – Watch his reaction! (Video)

Most of us don’t need to be sold on the benefits of pet adoption. We understand the power of the human-animal bond, and we know the lengths at which rescue organizations go to provide care and support for their foster pets until they find forever homes. But just in case you need a little extra push to embrace this concept, behold this heart-melting video of a little girl singing a lullaby to her newly adopted puppy. Children and animals are both adorable. So when combined, it’s just double the cuteness.

Lauren Malone and her family did something more people need to be doing every day. They adopted adorable Oakley from animal rescue organization American Labrescue. And it didn’t take long before Lauren’s young daughter, Katie, and little Oakley hit it off. Lauren shared the adorable video of her daughter cradling Oakley and singing him to sleep with her very own lullaby. She writes, “And THIS is why you should adopt a rescue dog. Or two. Or three or four.” “Wasn’t that a great lullaby?”she asks her mom. “It really was. Want to sing another lullaby?” Lauren suggests. So she does, and by this time the sleepy puppy is so blissed out, he can’t help but issue a couple contented groans. Katie sweetly sings a soothing lullaby to adorable Oakley.

He enjoys every second!

American Lab Rescue didn’t need to see the video to know Oakley is going to be spoiled and have a wonderful life, writing, “Although Oakley will be missed, we know he will be living the most amazing life. We are sure Oakley will get lots of play time, lots of hugs and kisses, and lots of naps.” From the looks of this gentle scene, they could not be more right. Understandably this sweet video has gone viral since Lauren posted it. Watch this adorable clip, but be careful — it might just make you want to adopt a new pup, too. Share to spread the love!
