Dog tries to rescue her puppy!

Stray animals get the worst of it when a natural disaster occurs. They have no shelter to get to, and no way to stay out of the elements in order to stay safe and healthy. It’s even worse for those mothers who have given birth to a litter of puppies, as they’re even more helpless. In this video, a man and a dog work together furiously to save the life of a newborn puppy who got stuck in a flooded hole.

It all started when one of the dogs’ puppies fell into a puddle. At least, that’s what the man thought had happened. It wasn’t a puddle at all. In fact, the puppy had fallen into a hole in the ground that was flooded with muddy water. Frantically, both the man and the dog — the puppy’s mom — leaped into action. In a dramatic display of teamwork, the man took a jug and began to remove water from the hole. Right next to him with her eyes fixed on the hole, the mama dog began to frantically dig into the ground.

A heartwarming moment!

Mama dog stepped into action and was determined to save him. When enough water had been removed, the dog shot forward into the hole to try and find her baby. After a few moments of dreaded anticipation, the mama dog emerged with her wet puppy in her jaws. But the pup was unresponsive, completely unconscious from being underwater inside the hole.
