Man Stops His Car To Save Frozen Cat Covered in Snow While Others Keep Driving

Cat freezing on the side of the road (Video)

A man named Slava was driving his car when he saw something on the road. “I thought it was an abandoned animal and it must be freezing in this weather,” said Slava. This frozen ball of fur turned out to be a tiny kitten crying for help. Cars kept passing by but no one stopped. He knew he had to do something to get the cat to safety.“It was way below zero, it was very cold so I wrapped her up in a towel and brought her back to my car. I turned up the heat to full capacity to help remove the frost on her coat,” says Slava.

Then, Slava drove the cat to his father’s house where they prepared a warm bed with several blankets, a radiator and a lamp nearby. He named the kitty Nika. The feline couldn’t stop purring and rubbing her face against the man’s hands, as to say ‘thank you’ for saving her. After a trip to the vet, the sweet kitty was determined to be six months old. Her tail was frostbitten so bad that it had to be amputated, but little Nika underwent the surgery like a champ.“She knew that we were trying to help. She was patient, did not complain, and was very sweet the whole time.”

Two weeks later, Nika bounced back strong and her personality started to shine through. Luckily, all Nika’s troubles are long gone now – she is one happy and a thoroughly cute kitten who lives with Slava, an owner who adores her.
