Neglected Dog About To Be Euthanized Gets Rescued In Time – Heartwarming Freedom Walks
Heartwarming freedom walks (Video)
Unfortunately, countless animals get euthanized in shelters every single day, because there’s simply no room or resources to keep them all. Aimee is a sweet, friendly pit bull who loves people more than anything in the world. She was brought into Carson Animal Care Center, a high-kill shelter in California. Neglected and timid but very friendly, Aimee was about to be euthanized, also partly because of medical reasons. Aimee has a skin condition that causes her severe pain and discomfort, and the four-footer was also very scared and nervous because of it, scaring away potential adopters.
Volunteers from the rescue group Saving Carson Shelter Dogs saw Aimee, and they quickly decided that they wanted to help her. This group specifically tries to rescue as many animals who reside at the care center as possible, tries to raise awareness about these shelter animals, mostly on social media. They have quite an active and fairly broad audience, and they’ve helped many four-footers at the shelter get adopted before. They filmed the dogs inside Carson Animal Care Center and posted the videos on Social Media. The publicity has led to many dogs getting adopted. The rescue group shared a video of Aimee in her kennel. The sweet dog was so excited to have visitors! “AIMEE is adorable, short and the sweetest little baby! She is super cute and once her skin heals she is going to feel amazing! ” Saving Carson Shelter Dogs wrote in the description.
Everyone was touched by Aimee’s excitement and joy!
The photos and videos of Aimee worked, and just a few days after she arrived at the shelter, a family asked to adopt her! The animal rescue group was there for the adoption process, and they captured footage of Aimee’s first steps as a free pup again. These ‘freedom walks’ are quite popular and heartwarming to see, but Aimee was so overjoyed with her new loving family, it more resembled a freedom run!
