Cat’s reaction is hilarious (Video)

From the very first day a pet arrives at our house, it becomes a part of the family, one more new member that we unconditionally love. The same, of course, happened with a cat named Sparta – a 10-year-old Bengal mix who was adopted in the summer of 2007. Sparta might seem like an unusual cat – he likes wrestling, playing fetch, stalking and being held like a baby. But he’s also unique. He has an original personality and loves his owner more than anything else. Since he loves cuddling so much, his owner once asked himself a question: “What would my cat do if I suddenly died?”

To find this out, he decided to fake his death in front of Sparta and see how would he react. Luckily, he got all this on video, so we can witness this priceless moment too. But cats can be tricky customers, unlike dogs, they can be selective about when they want to show affection or when they’ll scamper away at the first sign of contact. Cory, the owner of Sparta, wanted to gauge the reaction of his feline friend when he groaned, clutched his chest and fell to the floor. The classic trick will supposedly show a cat’s true feelings towards its owner, whether they love or just tolerate you.

But Sparta had an indifferent response to Cory’s apparent death. While the other cat, Loki, sat on the stairs and ignored the entire spectacle, Sparta initially wandered over to see what had happened. But after a promising start, when Sparta appeared concerned as he sniffed his owner’s hand and bulged him for a stroke — but ultimately chose to roll over and go to sleep. Cory’s disappointed reaction of ‘really dude?’ summed up the whole affair. Watching the video, you’ll quickly understand why.
