Rare Albino Peacock Stuns Everyone With His White Feathers, Then He Turns Around!
Stunning and impressive! (Video)
If you’ve ever seen a peacock before, you most likely picture a large bird with long tail feathers in beautiful, metallic blue and green colors. When the feathers fan out, they create a plumage of bright iridescent colors. Peacocks are the national bird of India and can be found throughout the country. It’s common to find peacocks of the green and blue variety, or even green and bronze. The white peacock, though, is quite rare. Peacocks are the male gender of the peafowl species; females are called peahens. However, it’s only the males that have the long, visually impressive tail feathers called a train.
The train is generally fanned out as a form of courtship or mating ritual. An Indian local was lucky enough to stumble upon one of these elusive white peacocks, and he decided to put on a show for the camera. The peacock seems to be disinterested in what’s going on around him at first; however, he starts to look around and realizes that all eyes are on him. At this point, he’s decided that if he’s going to be the star of the show, he might as well give them a performance they’ll remember. Then, the brilliantly white peacock starts to turn around. His tail feathers, or train, are so long that they are almost double his body length. As he starts to spin, the fluffy white plumage seems to float in mid-air.
A performance they’ll remember!
Once the peacock’s back has been turned to his audience, he begins to shake his behind, and the gorgeous feathers start to fan out. The peacock is very aware of how regal, stunning, and impressive he looks, so he decides to walk around the brick patio and flaunt his stuff. When the train is fanned, the feathers appear to be taller than a full-grown man. The giant white feathers are absolutely dazzling, and it’s hard not to be completely enthralled by this rare and gorgeous bird’s masculine display. The peacock seems to know that he’s the man of the hour and lets out a loud shrill to let his presence be known. Watch the video, at one point, the peacock decides to give the cameraman a better look and decides to come closer. Much closer!
