Sad And lonely Abandoned Dog Was Looking For Someone He Could Trust!

This woman tried to approach him! (Video)

A film crew contacted Hope For Paws and reported a homeless pit bull who was injured. Luckily for the rescue, a Good Samaritan followed Wilbur for a whole hour until the crew got there, keeping the dog in their sight until the team could finally get him the help he so desperately needed. When rescuers got there, their first task was to keep him from running into the busy road. At first, Wilbur is understandably hesitant about his rescuers, but Loreta Frankonyte, one of the Hope for Paws crew members, quickly wins him over with a few bites of a juicy cheeseburger.

He was really friendly and allowed them to pet him but became spooked at the sight of the leash. They continued to sweet talk the pup and let him know everything was going to be okay. Wilbur stuck around for the food and affection, and with a bit of patience, Loretta and the team manage to calm Wilbur, distracting him enough to get a leash onto his neck. Everyone was happy to see that the dog was finally safe! From there, they walk to the van, the dog’s skinny tail finally starts to rise from between his legs. When Loretta and Wilbur finally get in the vehicle, what he did next was extremely heartwarming. The friendly dog happily rests his chin on her lap.

His life was about to change!

The dog jumped right into the strange car knowing that he was in good hands and that his life was about to change for the better. He was ready to leave the mean streets. Wilbur and the Hope for Paws team traveled directly to a vet where Wilbur got treated to a nice bath and the medical attention he clearly needed. He was such a good patient. The sweet dog showed nothing but love despite his rough past. Watch the video, he’s so beautiful and he has a lot of love to give!

Nowadays, Wilbur has been completely nursed back to health. The adoption service Petstablished states, “Wilbur received the best medical care and is in tip-top shape. He also went to our trainers for a month to heal and get basic commands.”

Now he’s happy and healthy and looking for a forever home. Look at that smile!
