Surveillance Video Catches Man Punching His Dog – Neighbor Calls The Police
Camera catches man punching his dog (Video)
Lee County deputies arrested a man after he was caught on home surveillance video tackling and punching his dog. The video was taken from a home. Deputies responded to the report just before 2 p.m. and arrested the dog owner, 28-year old, Joshua Schlotmann. He was arrested for aggravated animal cruelty.
Schlotmann is currently a member of the Florida Army National Guard. This arrest does not immediately impact his position, but disciplinary action through the National Guard could follow, according to the Department of Military Affairs. Lee County Domestic Animal Services took the dog, “Thanos,” into their custody. After a 3-day hold, the puppy will become the property of Lee County.
Authorities were able to arrest this man
Because Thanos’ owner is facing a felony animal abuse charge, the hold will be extended and he will remain in their custody. Once this happens, his name will be changed. He is not available for adoption at this time. “Not here. Not now. Not ever,” stated Sheriff Carmine Marceno. “I’ll keep throwing these abusers in jail. Whatever it takes to get the message across. I won’t stand for any type of abuse!” Although the video is disturbing, it proves what happened and how authorities were able to arrest this man for the horrid crime.
