When She Looked At Her Baby Monitor!

Finding a decent babysitter can be a nightmare. The tween next door is always too distracted by TV and the professional nanny service your friends use can be expensive. Maybe you should consider another (four-legged) option like this family did. Dogs are a protective bunch. It doesn’t matter if you’re a dog or a human, if a dog loves you, then that dog is going to show it. Some dogs might get jealous when their owners add a new little human to their home, but newborn Laura Olivia couldn’t ask for a cuter or sweeter sitter than her family’s beagle, Charlie.

While the sound of a crying baby can be irritating for anyone in earshot, it’s a baby’s way of communicating to mom and dad that they’re hungry, need a diaper change, or are in pain. Most of the time, that crying won’t just go away until you fix whatever is bothering them, which is why one mom was stunned when her crying, restless baby suddenly stopped crying before she had the chance to get her room and figure out the problem. Mom looked at her baby monitor and noticed that her adorable beagle was standing beside the crib checking on baby Laura.

Mom was stunned!

As mom watched, however, she realized Charlie was not only checking on Laura, but actually gently rocking her to sleep with his paw like he had watched mom do countless times to get Laura to calm down and drift to sleep. It didn’t take him long to become a caretaker for the baby once she was brought home, as Charlie’s owners taught him how to help change her diapers, change the traffic lights at the corner, and play gently with the little girl. Not just that, Charlie can put little Laura to sleep by rocking her gently on her swing crib! Watch the video, I’m sure these two are gonna be the best of friends!
