They Capture Precious Moment – Dog And Koala Share Water During Drought In Australia
Doggy shares water with koala (Video)
The basis for being a good friend is being willing to share and to help others when they are in need. A dog is undoubtedly one of the best friends a person could imagine, not only for us humans, but for other species as well. Can a dog befriend a koala? It turns out it can, as you will see in this video, in which the canine lets the native Australian animal drink from a big jug filled with water.
Rusty, who belongs to the Stone family, has a regular visitor in the backyard of their home in Ashton, in Adelaide Hills, south Australia. During particularly hot days, a koala they have affectionately named Quasi, wanders up for a drink and to shield from the sun among the trees. Recently, Danielle Stone captured some adorable footage of Rusty happily greeting his friend at their shared drinking bowl, where Quasi sups on some much needed water and then the pair share an affectionate nuzzle. When Quasi makes his way onto the veranda, the Stone family cut eucalyptus leaves from a nearby tree for him to eat.
Adorable relationship warmed the spirits of many people
Danielle said their dog is always pleased to see Quasi, “Rusty doesn’t mind sharing the water bowl at all. I think humans could learn a thing or two from this pair.” The two get along pretty well, drinking the water together and feeling absolutely comfortable in each other’s company. Why shouldn’t they be? They are both so sweet! Watch the video, Rusty and Quasi’s adorable relationship warmed the spirits of many people during a time of heartache for many people living in Australia as the bushfires continue.
