She was caught red-handed (Video)

It’s heartbreaking to find abandoned animals left to fend for themselves. Unfortunately, there are many irresponsible people who throw their pets away, and some don’t even bother to take them to an animal shelter. It’s the case of this woman who is about to abandon four dogs on a dead-end street in Texas. When San Antonio resident Edith Melendez, recently saw a suspicious vehicle pull up outside on her street, she just had a bad feeling about it. The good Samaritan from San Antonio, tried to intervene in just a situation. When she saw a woman throwing her 4 dogs out of the car in a vacated lot, she confronted and filmed the offender!

In the recording she took, we can hear her clearly stating the consequences that may follow if the woman did indeed decide to ditch her pets. The kind Samaritan tried desperately to reason with the dog-abandoner. The woman recording the video could be heard telling the woman leaving the dogs that she could drop them off at ACS for free instead of dumping them. But even after being given directions to Animal Care Services, the heartless woman proceeded to dump her dogs and drive away in the most infuriating manner. One of her passengers even had the gall to show the middle finger to the camera.  Internet sleuths were able to discern the car’s license plate number and track down the dog dumpers.

She’s accused of abandoning

After authorities were informed, three of the dogs were found and delivered to an animal shelter. But the 4th dog was missing. Because of all the attention the video received, the driver of the car and the woman in the clip were uncovered. The suspect returned to where she left the dogs and picked up the fourth dog and took it to ACS where she surrendered herself to authorities. According to Texas law, an individual convicted of abandoning an animal may be sentenced to up to a year in county jail, and a fine of up to $4,000. Watch the video, it’s incomprehensible and annoying that people can do such a thing!
