She abuses her dog on camera – Police launches investigation (Video)

A YouTuber who recorded a prank video about her dog is now the subject of an investigation into possible animal abuse. In the clip, which was shared on her channel, the young lady tells her subscribers that she’s trying to prank her pooch — a Doberman. According to some viewers, a first upload of the video on YouTube purported to show disturbing and unedited footage in which she appears to hit, shove, and spit on her dog. When the dog excitedly jumps into the frame, she grows visibly angry and reprimands her dog by slapping him on the head. She continues to berate the dog in the clip by yelling, “Stop!” and shoves him to the ground.

Nearly 340,000 subscribers realized she have uploaded a wrong version of her “plastic wrap prank on my doberman” video. The video has since been removed from her channel. However, it was too late as viewers had already shared it on social media. She later shared an edited version of the clip, but she later removed it after facing intense backlash. “I’m so friggin disgusted. She abuses her dog for wanting affection. I am so angered by this,” one Twitter user wrote alongside the clip. Within hours, the viral spread of the footage caught the attention of officials at the LAPD’s Animal Cruelty Task Force. “LAPD is aware of this incident. Animal Cruelty is looking into this, and there is an open investigation,” said a representative for the police department.

She attempts to apologize

“I am not going to play the ‘victim card’ or anything of that sort, but I do want to point out that I am rarely as upset as what was shown in the footage.” She continued, adding that she is not trying to “justify” her behavior. “Should I have gotten as angry as I did in the video? No. Should I have raised my voice and yelled at him? No. However, when my 75 lb. Doberman is jumping in my face with his mouth open, I do, as a dog parent, have to show him that this behavior is unacceptable.
